Steam Pipe Coating
Steam Pipe Coating is a special marine anti-corrosive coating that is surface-tolerant. The coating gives long term protection in marine environment with minimum surface preparation. It is surface drying and remains flexible to expand and contract with the metal surfaces. It has good resistance to heat and frost and does not drip, flake or crack. Unlike ordinary paint, it forms a brownish waterproof and rubber-like but non-tacky coating when applied to steam pipes, steam valve chests etc. Steam Pipe Coating is not suitable for application on surfaces subjected to foot traffic. It does not damage paint, rubber or plastics.
Steam Pipe Coating is used for protection of deck steam pipes, and steam valve chests. It is also suitable for used in cofferdams, underside of hatches, inside ventilator trunks, open pipe tunnels etc. It can be applied onto rusted metal surfaces or new steel by brush, roller or by spraying. It has a coverage of 1.5 to 5 m² / liter depending on the coat thickness required.
