NCLT / AL Aluminium
NCLT/AL is a nitrite / borate / polymer - based corrosion inhibitor with a suitable buffer to ensure stable pH conditions. The product is particularly effective at preventing corrosion in engine cooling systems. NCLT/AL protects ferrous metals, copper alloys, lead, solder and aluminum, while not affecting rubber gaskets or hoses. The products is effective in hot and cold water and is compatible with glycol / antifreeze solutions.
Provided that the recommended dosage rate is maintained, NCLT/AL is safe to use when the cooling water is the heat source for potable water systems. If changing to NCLT/AL from nitrite / borate - based product of an other manufacturer, allow old product levels to drop to the lowest control limit and start dosing NCLT/AL using Vecom Marine tests. NCLT/AL will slowly remove sludge and other residues during the first month. This can result in slightly cloudy water, which will clarify after draining small quantities of water and as make up is added, leaving the system extremely clean. It is not necessary to remove all existing coolant unless inspection has shown excessive contamination. Vecom Marine can give expert advice on cleaning systems.
